I am a word lover. I am a book lover. As a bonus, I love my job–working with words as a freelance editor and writer.
As an editor, I’ve worked on trade books (both fiction and non-fiction), scholarly books (non-fiction), and educational materials. I’m always looking for new copyediting or proofreading opportunities.
As a reader, I tend to stick to fiction, but I venture into just about any genre–the classics, contemporary, short stories, mom lit, thrillers, horror (I have a soft spot for zombies), you name it.
Non-fiction books that catch my eye are usually travelogues, biography/autobiography, books on language/writing, or books with a unique perspective that can spice up a topic I would otherwise find boring (Freakonomics comes to mind).
